NBA makes Lonzo Ball cover up his Big Baller Brand tattoo

J.R. Smith won’t be the only NBA player forced to cover up a tattoo this season. Los Angeles Lakers guard Lonzo Ball will have to do the same with his Big Baller Brand tattoo, according to TMZ.

Ball won’t risk being fined for now. During his preseason debut Wednesday, Ball used either tape or a bandage to cover up the tattoo.

The NBA has been cracking down on players displaying commercial logos during the preseason. That was the reason the league gave for making Smith cover up his Supreme tattoo. Supreme is a clothing brand. Ball’s tattoo falls under the same violation. Big Baller Brand — which was started by Lavar Ball — sells clothing and other merchandise.

Smith said he planned to speak with the league regarding their decision. Ball hasn’t commented on the issue, and may keep quiet moving forward.

Lavar, on the other hand, might have a lot to say.
