NBA-Charlotte Bobcats clinch playoff berth

April 5 (Reuters) - The Charlotte Bobcats will be in the NBA playoffs for just the second time in franchise history after securing a berth with a 96-94 overtime road victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers on Saturday. The Bobcats improved to 39-38 with five regular season games remaining to ensure postseason play in Charlotte for the first time since 2010. The franchise, which is owned by Michael Jordan, was established in 2004 as an expansion team, after Charlotte's previous NBA team, the Hornets, moved to New Orleans.
