Wizards show interest in DeJuan Blair

The Washington Wizards have interest in pursuing San Antonio Spurs free-agent forward DeJuan Blair in a sign-and-trade deal, league sources told Yahoo! Sports.

The Spurs have shown a willingness to assist Blair in finding a team without the salary-cap space to sign him, but it's unclear if any Wizards assets appeal to San Antonio.

The Wizards don't have the cap space to sign Blair for anything above the veteran's minimum.

Blair, a tough, 6-foot-7 forward, averaged nearly eight points game in his four seasons with the Spurs. He was a second-round pick out of the University of Pittsburgh in 2009.
