Nashville Predators Recall Fedor Svechkov from AHL Milwaukee, Place Adam Wilsby on IR

The Nashville Predators have recalled forward Fedor Svechkov from the AHL's Milwaukee Admirals ahead of Friday's game against the Vancouver Canucks. In a corresponding move, the team has placed defenseman Adam Wilsby – who was previously listed as day-to-day with an upper-body injury – on injured reserve.

After making his NHL debut Nov. 23 against the Winnipeg Jets, Svechkov scored two goals while averaging 11:57 of ice time in the first nine games of his NHL career with Nashville in 2024-25. He scored his first career NHL goal Nov. 30 at Minnesota and his second Dec. 7 at Ottawa. He is producing at nearly a point-per-game rate in the AHL this season, tallying 12 points (5 goals, 7 assists) in 13 games with Milwaukee.

Svechkov joins his Admirals teammates, defenseman Spencer Stastney and forward Ozzy Wiesblatt, whom the Predators recalled Thursday. Stastney is likely to slot in on the Predators' blue line as they deal with the injuries to Wilsby and Jeremy Lauzon, the latter of whom left Tuesday's game against the Minnesota Wild with a lower-body injury and did not return. Svechkov and Wiesblatt will provide depth at forward while Zachary L'Heureux serves a three-game suspension for slew-footing Minnesota's Jared Spurgeon that will sideline him for the remainder of Nashville's six-game road trip.
