Serie A giants Napoli are working on a move for Benfica’s David Neres, as Jesper Lindstrom heads towards a move to Premier League side Everton.

Lindstrom is currently discussing terms over a move to the Toffees and CalcioNapoli24 report that the Partenopei do have a keen interest in signing Neres, who has informed Benfica that he wants to leave and he has already played his last official game for the Portuguese giants.

He wants more first-team football and while Napoli are working on a move, the transfer is still at an initial stage. Benfica aren’t against a potential sale right now but they want a fee of €40 million from his exit.

Last season, the winger could play only 24 games in the league and he scored five times, racking up eight assists. He hasn’t quite been a regular last season and it is only natural to see him seek first-team football.
