Antonio Conte will hope the Brazilian can bring some additional firepower in front of goal after his start to life managing Napoli began with a 3-0 loss to Hellas Verona.
Neres, who can also play as an attacking midfielder, notably registered 43 goal contributions in 83 appearances for Benfica.
Additionally, he had another 88 in 108 games for Amsterdam giants Ajax and won the 2018/19 Copa América.
It is the fourth signing for Napoli this transfer window, and Neres will compete for playing time with Matteo Politano.
