Napoli open up to Victor Osimhen-Romelu Lukaku swap deal

Serie A side Napoli are now pondering swapping Victor Osimhen for Romelu Lukaku this summer.

According to an update by Fabrizio Romano via Calcio Napoli 24, Napoli continue to find a solution regarding Victor Osimhen’s future as they are now in contact with Chelsea over a potential Osimhen-Lukaku swap deal.

The Nigerian striker has said yes to Paris Saint-Germain who are willing to equal his release clause but The Partenopei have stalled the negotiations to assess what The Blues have to offer.

A straight swap deal without the involvement of a fee is improbable due to the disparity between the players’ values. No problem is expected with the Belgian’s personal terms as he is willing to return to the Serie A where he rejuvenated his career last season with Roma.

Chelsea hope to offload Lukaku this summer as they cannot make space for him due to the presence of numerous competitive players in their squad. Even if the Premier League side pull out, Napoli will have PSG waiting for Osimhen.
