Napoli Line Up Inter Milan Star As Replacement For €80M Rated PSG Target
Napoli have identified Inter Milan midfielder Davide Frattesi as a possible replacement for PSG target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
This according to Italian broadcaster Sky Sport Italia, via FCInterNews. They report that Roma midfielder Lorenzo Pellegrini is another player on the Partenopei’s radar if they’re to sell the Georgian.
Napoli are preparing for the possibility of a big offer from Paris Saint-Germain offer for winger Khvicha Kvaratskhelia.
The 23-year-old is a long-term target for the French champions. And reportedly, they are considering moving again for him as early as the January transfer window.
Napoli are hardly going to allow Kvaratskhelia to leave for a cut-price fee.
However, PSG are reportedly ready to make a very large offer for the Georgian international. They could put as much as €80 million on the table.
Napoli Line Up Davide Frattesi As Replacement For PSG Target Khvicha Kvaratskhelia
If PSG are to break the bank, Napoli could sell Kvaratskhelia as early as this month.
And if the Campanian club do sell the Georgian, then they would certainly look to immediately reinvest a big chunk of the transfer fee.
And according to Sky, Napoli’s priority could be to strengthen in midfield rather than directly replacing Kvaratskhelia.
One possible target for the Partenopei would be Roma captain Lorenzo Pellegrini.
But another possibility would be a move for Frattesi.
Reportedly, Frattesi is increasingly keen to leave Inter. The 25-year-old’s priority is to get more playing time.
The Nerazzurri would want a big fee to sell Frattesi. Particularly in January.
And Inter will certainly not be in any hurry to sell the Italian international to a direct title rival.
Therefore, the asking price for Frattesi would be somewhere in the region of €45 million.
However, if Napoli are to sell Kvaratskhelia to PSG, then they would have the financial resources to make an offer that meets Inter’s asking price.
In that case, the Nerazzurri would certainly have to consider a bid for Frattesi.
