Napoli received bad news about Karim Adeyemi and aren’t making progress for Alejandro Garnacho, so they are turning their attention to other wingers like for instance PSV’s Noa Lang, De Telegraaf reports.

The Dutch team is resisting for now, but the player is very open to transferring. He’s been held out lately, although his side let it be known that it was due to the flu and not because of transfer market-related reasons.

Napoli would have to shell out €25M for Lang. He hasn’t totally lived up to expectations in the Eredivisie. He was signed for €15M from Club Brugge in January 2023. The speedster has totaled 11 goals and 10 assists in 45 matches, missing time on a few occasions due to thigh injuries.

It’s not the first time the 25-year-old has been linked to a move to Serie A. Milan tried to onboard him a few years back. The Ajax product properly broke out in Belgium. He has 12 caps and 2 goals with the Netherlands to his name.

PSV will already lose a high-profile attacker during the winter. Hirving Lozano will formally complete his switch to San Diego in a few days after sealing it last summer and staying on loan.

Our Take on Napoli and Lang

He’d be an okay deputy, although his price tag might be a bit too rich for that. We’ll see whether Antonio Conte’s school of thought, a top player or nothing, will prevail, or if the front office will convince him to accept somebody less prestigious. It’d be a lackluster outcome of their search, but they should add a winger no matter what. They’d be in trouble if something happened to David Neres otherwise.
