Nantes backtrack on signing of Reims’ Amine Salama
As reported by Le Parisien, Amine Salama (24) had looked set to complete a loan move to join FC Nantes from Stade de Reims. However, the deal now looks set to break down.
Salama had been expected to make the trip to Nantes today with a hotel even booked to accommodate the Reims winger. However, he was informed this morning that the transfer had been delayed with Nantes backtracking on the deal. The deal is now in real danger of falling through.
Adding to Le Parisien’s report, Ouest-France journalist David Phelippeau says that, internally at Les Canaris, there is no unanimity regarding the signing of the Frenchman, who has no goal contributions in 15 appearances for Les Stadistes this season.
Phelippeau adds that, despite a total agreement being reached between all parties, the deal could be abandoned entirely. The prospective deal was a loan with an option to buy worth €5.5m.
