Smith scored the goal with a terrific shot and broke up a rush toward the Sharks' defensive end, creating his scoring opportunity.

Today's game has been arguably the best in Smith's young career. It is only his seventh goal of the season.

He would showcase his strong defensive play today with a takeaway right to Fabian Zetterlund, who scored on the other end of the ice. Smith earned the only assist on the play.

The San Jose Sharks would end up losing the game 6-3 to the Boston Bruins.
