“So much more to come” – Man Utd star vows to make history after signing new contract

Amad Diallo insists the best has yet to come after penning a new contract that will tie him to Manchester United until 2030.

The 22-year-old had a relatively low start to life at Carrington after making the move from Atalanta in January 2021. But while it took him some time to settle at the club, one could say that the Red Devils have hit the figurative jackpot with this one. But if you’re a fan of online casino games or sports betting and you’re gunning for the literal jackpot, Stake online casino has you covered on this front.

Over the past few months, Diallo has been one of the most consistent performers at the club, cementing himself as a key figure in Ruben Amorim’s 3-4-3 system, and making the right-wing spot his own.

Therefore, the hierarchy has been desperate to tie down the young player with a long-term deal, especially as his original contract was set to expire at the end of the season. Man Utd had the option to trigger a one-year extension, but they insisted on finding an agreement with the player on a lengthy deal.

While the story has been in the air for quite some time, the final confirmation has finally arrived on Thursday via an official statement posted on the club’s website.

For his part, Amad expressed his delight with his new deal, promising to achieve great things at Old Trafford.

“I am really proud to have signed this new contract. I have had some incredible moments with this club already but there is so much more to come. I have huge ambitions in the game and I want to achieve history at Manchester United,” declared the young winger.

“I have learnt so much since arriving here four years ago; I am very grateful to the coaches and staff who have helped me to develop, and to the fans for driving me forward every day.

“It has been a difficult season for everyone, but I fully believe that we are on the right path and the future is going to be really special. I am ready to give everything to help the team and make our supporters proud again.”

The Abidjan native has thus far contributed with six goals and seven assists in 28 appearances across all competitions this season. His exploits include sparking a late come-from-behind victory over Man City in the Derby.
