Milan are set to return to Feyenoord with an improved offer for Mexico international Santiago Gimenez after having their first offer turned down last week, as the Rossoneri look to convince the Eredivisie side to lower their €40m asking price.

After announcing the signing of Kyle Walker on Friday evening, Milan are attempting to add another attacker to their ranks in the January transfer window.

According to recent reports, the Rossoneri already have an agreement in principle on personal terms with Gimenez, which Calciomercato.com reports to be for a four-and-a-half year contract worth around €2.5m per season.

But, even though an agreement on personal terms has already been found, Milan still need to convince Feyenoord to lower their €40m valuation.

Reports on Saturday claimed that the initial offer for the striker, who netted a brace against Bayern Munich in the Champions League this week, stood at €30m.

Calciomercato.com report that Milan are expected to submit an improved offer on Monday worth somewhere in the region of €33m-€34m.
