Muay Thai fighter KOs opponent, official with 1 combo
Muay Thai fighter Gou Dakui finished off his opponent with a knockout and completed his combo on the intervening referee during a Max Muay Thai bout in Thailand over the weekend.
Dakui, 25, was the firm favorite and came back from a slow start against Thailand’s Super X Sitsontidech. In the second round, Dakui hit his opponent with a right hook that caused Super X to wobble and fall back into the ropes.
The official stepped in between the two, but Dakui didn’t realize and delivered a final head kick.
Except it landed directly to the official’s face.

As the TV announcers said “Super X is too brave for his own good,” the referee took on that mantra. One commentator said he had never seen such a thing in 30 years of watching Muay Thai.
The referee clutched his nose and was unable to get up. Another official came in to help.
Dakui later gave his apologies to the official on the mat. He upped his record to 21-9 with the victory.
