Mrsic Continues To Stand Tall Among Blues' 2024 Draft Picks
Of the 2024 St. Louis Blues' draft picks, plenty of focus has been shown to a number of them.
Of course, defenseman Adam Jiricek for being the team's first-round pick overcoming a knee injury; forwards Adam Jecho (third round) and Matvei Korotky have been putting up impressive numbers for their respective squads, as is defenseman Lukas Fischer (third round).
We've mentioned center Tomas Mrsic multiple times in the weekly prospect report, but he seriously needs to be a focal point and somebody Blues fans should be paying attention to.
Once again, Mrsic (6-foot-0, 170-pounds) had himself a week; in two games, he put up five goals (two game-winners) and seven points for Prince Albert of the Western Hockey League, giving him 25 points (13 goals, 12 assists) in 16 games for the Raiders.
Mrsic recorded a hat trick in a 5-3 win against Tri-City on Friday, then scored twice and had four points against Jecho and Edmonton in a 4-1 win.
The kid is not afraid to shoot the puck, and his puck-luck goal with three minutes to play against the Americans was the game-winner before adding an empty-netter to seal a 5-3 win:

Mrsic leads the Raiders in goals (13) and points (25) while toting 14 points in a seven-game point streak (seven goals, seven assists); he has a point in 13 of the Raiders' 16 games and is on pace for 104 points (54 goals, 50 assists) in 66 games.
Yes, it's junior hockey, but these players have to start somewhere, and if Mrsic can dominate the WHL and take the necessary progressive steps, the Blues will be pleased.
* Marcus Sylvegard -- It's taken a bit of games, but the undrafted Swede is starting to heat up.
After scoring just three times in Springfield's first 13 games, the forward came up with three goals in two games helping the Thunderbirds win a pair of games.
The forward would score twice in Springfield's 5-3 win against Lehigh Valley on Friday, including this top shelf beauty:

* Jakub Stancl -- The 2023 fourth-round pick doesn't want to be forgotten about.
The forward had himself quite a week also, scoring in three straight games and having five points in helping Kelowna win two of three in the WHL.
Centering the top line for the Rockets, Stancl scored twice, including what turned out to be the game-winner Wednesday in a 5-3 win against Seattle; then he scored Friday in a 4-3 loss against Prince George and have a goal and an assist on Saturday in a 5-4 return match against the Cougars.
Stancl is on a four-game point streak (four goals, two assists) and has eight points (four goals, four assists) the past six games to give him 18 points (eight goals, 10 assists) in 17 games this season, which puts him on pace for 71 points (32 goals, 39 assists) in 67 games.
