Motorcycle rider dies following a crash Friday night outside Modesto, CHP says

A motorcycle rider from Keyes suffered fatal injuries in a crash Friday night southwest of Modesto.

The crash occurred around 11:30 p.m. on Shiloh Road, south of Paradise Road.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the Yamaha motorcycle was going north on Shiloh at an undetermined speed. The 38-year-old rider allowed his motorcycle to drift off the east side of the road. He hit a wood fence, continued on and overturned.

The rider, who was ejected, was treated by emergency medical personnel at the scene. He was taken to Doctors Medical Center in Modesto. The CHP said he died from his injuries at the hospital.

The motorcycle rider, whose name was not released, was wearing an approved helmet at the time of the crash, CHP said.
