Most horrific damage ever? BKFC fighter's face caves in during bout
An all-time gross scene in bareknuckle boxing, if not all of combat sports, took place Saturday during BKFC 68 in Newcastle, United Kingdom.
During a preliminary card bout, Kyle Redfearn sustained serious facial injury vs. Danny Moir that in complete distortion of the right side of his face and ultimately a doctor stoppage.
A massive gash formed above his eye. His eye socket was so swollen that his eye closed shut. His nose appeared to be broken. In addition, it appeared the entire half of his face shifted downward.
The ringside doctor didn't take long to make the decision that the fight shouldn't continue. The stoppage came with just a few seconds left on the clock in Round 2 and Moir was named the winner.
