Moretto: ‘Worth monitoring’ – Atalanta and Fiorentina keeping tabs on Milan starlet
AC Milan have a heap of young talent on their books, and one of the most exciting is Mattia Liberali, but that could be about to change.
There are few Primaveras better than Milan for producing, moulding, and providing young talents in Italian football, and this is the case with the current set of players. Among the Futuro ranks, there are Francesco Camarda and Kevin Zeroli, and another player who would like his name among them is Mattia Liberali.
The youngster impressed heavily in the tour of America during the summer, but he has not been offered any senior minutes since, despite fans calling for Fonseca to consider him in the Trequartista position – an area where the Rossoneri are weak and lack a ‘proper’ No.10.
It seems that if the Diavolo will not offer him the chance then another team will. Today, Matteo Moretto has reported that Atalanta and Fiorentina are watching his situation, to the point where it is ‘worth monitoring’ as the journalist suggests.
The midfielder, born in 2007, has a contract which expires in 2026, and his value will only drop between now and that date unless a new contract is offered.
Given how appreciated he is by the supporters, the Rossoneri cannot take any risks, especially considering how other youngsters have fared since leaving the club.
