Monza are pushing to sign Inter Milan defender Tomas Palacios on loan before the end of the January transfer window.

This according to Sky Sport Italia transfer market expert Gianluca Di Marzio. He reports on his homepage that the move could come down to the Argentine’s decision, as he currently wants to stay at Inter.

Palacios has now been an Inter player for around six months.

The 22-year-old joined the Nerazzurri at the end of last summer transfer window.

Over the first half of this season, Tomas Palacios has seen very little playing time. Rather, he has trained with the first team squad and learned the ropes.

Inter have not exactly been pushing to loan Palacios out.

However, a move to another club for the second half of this season could allow the Argentine to receive more playing time.

And Monza are keen to sign Palacios on loan.

The Brianzoli have just signed Kasper Urbanski on loan from Bologna. But they are not finished with their January business.

Monza also want to reinforce in defense before the end of the January window. They are gearing up for a tough relegation battle over the remainder of the campaign.

The Lombards are targeting Tomas Palacios.

However, Monza will have to convince the player himself.

Inter could allow Palacios to leave on loan for more playing time over the second half of the campaign.

But according to Di Marzio, the Argentine is currently leaning towards staying at Inter and fighting for more playing time over the rest of the season.
