Week 8 of NFL action will draw to a close following the Monday Night Football bout between the Detroit Lions (5-2) and the Las Vegas Raiders (3-4).
Las Vegas will play in its second straight away game and is coming off of a 30-12 rout at the hands of the Chicago Bears at Soldier Field in Week 7. Quarterback Brian Hoyer started in place of an injured Jimmy Garoppolo, going 17-32 passing with 129 yards and two interceptions. Garoppolo is expected to start Monday night.
Detroit is coming home after experiencing a rout of its own, 38-6, against the Baltimore Ravens at M&T Bank Stadium last week. Quarterback Jared Goff completed 33 of his 53 pass attempts for 284 yards and one interception. Rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs tallied 126 yards from scrimmage on 20 touches and scored his first NFL touchdown.
