Milan have a tough route to navigate now as Monaco increase their asking price for Youssouf Fofana.

According to a report by Gianluca Di Marzio, Milan are set to shift their interest away from Youssouf Fofana as Monaco have revised their asking price for the player following strong curiosity from Manchester United and Atletico Madrid.

The Rossoneri were closer than ever to signing the Frenchman recently when they sent their second offer set at €14 million. However, the Ligue 1 side have now raised their valuation to €35 million to make a bigger profit from his sale despite the midfielder having less than a year remaining on his contract.

Milan are expected to make one final push in the next few days to check if Monaco are still willing to keep their price low but as things stand, Paulo Fonseca’s scouts are now evaluating other options like Adrien Rabiot, who is available as a free agent, and Richard Rios, a rising star of Palmeiras.
