Monaco and Sturm Graz have reached an agreement worth €15m for the signing of Danish centre-forward Mika Biereth (21), according to a report from Foot Mercato. The 21-year-old has reportedly already agreed personal terms with the Ligue 1 side. Biereth, a Denmark U21 international, is one of the standout players in the Austrian Bundesliga. He logged 14 goals and five assists in 25 games in all competitions so far this season.

Adi Hütter’s Monaco were forced to dip into the strikers’ market this winter transfer window due to Folarin Balogun’s serious left shoulder injury. The former Arsenal forward was operated on last December. Les Monégasques reportedly enquired about PSG’s Randal Kolo Muani to boost their attacking options. Foot Mercato reports that only minor details are missing to complete Biereth’s transfer with Monaco agreeing to a €13m transfer fee with a further €2m in add-ons. Biereth could make his Monaco debut next Tuesday as Les Monégasques face Reims in the Coupe de France RO32.
