Monaco open to Vanderson and Caio Henrique departures
With the January transfer window approaching, L’Équipe have revealed that AS Monaco are open to selling Caio Henrique (27) and Vanderson (23) next month.
Henrique, who arrived for €8m from Atletico Madrid, has burst into the Brazil set-up during his time with Les Monégasques. However, having suffered an ACL injury at the start of last season, he is yet to hit the same levels and with Christian Mawissa and Kassoum Ouattara providing competition, now is seen as the right time to sell Henrique, in the event of a reasonable offer being received.
Monaco set Vanderson asking price
Vanderson, another Brazil international, will also be allowed to leave the club this winter, according to L’Équipe. The right-back arrived from Gremio for €11m back in January 2022. Monaco, with their development players, work on a three-year cycle, at the end of which it is often perceived as the right time to sell the player.
The Principality club would be willing to listen to an offer of €25m, the price set by the club’s directors. Tottenham Hotspur showed interest in the summer but it remains to be seen whether they will follow up their interest. Eliot Matazo (22), who has struggled to establish himself at his formative club, could also leave Monaco next month.
