AS Monaco interested in Manu Koné as Borussia Mönchengladbach midfielder reaches agreement with AC Milan
Manu Koné (23), fresh from representing France at the Olympics, is one to watch in the final days of this transfer window. The midfielder wants to leave Borussia Mönchengladbach amid interest from several clubs, as per a report from Sports Zone.
Koné has forged a reputation whilst in the Bundesliga, however, his time in Germany may be coming to an end. With just three days remaining in the transfer window, the race to sign the France youth international is hotting up. Sports Zone understands that he has an agreement in principle to join AC Milan, now managed by former Lille OSC manager Paulo Fonseca. However, the Serie A side will only be able to make their move should they manage to sell multiple players before the closure of the window.
There are other suitors. AS Roma, under Florent Ghisolfi, have had a Franco-centric window and are also closely following Koné, as are Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco, who are looking to add one more midfielder to their squad before the end of the window.
