According to a report from L’Équipe, AS Monaco are interested in bringing in Leicester City’s Wilfred Ndidi (28) on a six-month loan with an option to buy for an undisclosed fee.

The midfielder was linked with a departure to Olympique de Marseille over the summer as he neared the end of his contract. However, instead of leaving the former Premier League winners, Ndidi put pen to paper and signed a three-year contract extension.

However, Ndidi might not see out the end of that contract as L’Équipe writes that he would be interested in a move to Monaco. The Principality have reportedly not yet sent an offer to their English counterparts but are interested in a move.

Monaco appreciate Ndidi’s profile as they are looking for an experienced midfielder to help reinforce the squad. The club had reportedly been looking at Edson Alvarez (27), however, West Ham rejected their approach for a loan
