AS Monaco have enquired about Albacete Cameroonian prospect Christian Kofane (18) according to a report from L’Equipe. The outlet adds that Les Monégasques are looking to bolster their contingent of young players, as shown by their signing of Ivory Coast U20 international Valy Konaté (18). The outlet reports that AS Monaco have closely scouted Kofane. The centre-forward joined LaLiga Hypermotion side Albacete Balompié last November from AS Monaco’s partner academy in Cameroon, AS Nylon.

Kofane is reportedly of interest to Monaco’s Ligue 1 rivals RC Lens and Lille OSC. Several Spanish outlets are also monitoring the young striker’s development. Kofane scored six goals in as many games for Albacete’s U18 side. L’Equipe adds that Monaco are considering signing Kofane while allowing for him to remain in Albacete for the remainder of the 2024-2025 campaign. Monaco are yet to submit a bid to the Spanish side.
