Mo Salah looks set to leave Liverpool next summer after confirming that this season will be his “last year” at the Premier League club.

The Egyptian winger is in scintillating form for the Reds at the moment, having registered three goals and three assists in the opening three games of the 2024/25 campaign.

The 32-year-old set up both of Luis Diaz’s goals and scored one himself as Liverpool defeated Manchester United at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Salah looks as good as he has ever done, but with less than a year remaining on his current deal, he could join a new team in 2025.

Mo Salah confirms this will be his “last year” at Liverpool

“I had a good summer and had a long time to myself to try to stay positive because as you know it’s my last year at the club,” he told Sky SPorts after the final whistle.

“I just want to enjoy it and I don’t want to think about it. I feel like I’m free to play football and then we’ll see what happens next year.”

Asked if it was his last game at Old Trafford, Salah responded: “I was coming to the game today thinking it could be the last time. Nobody at the club has spoken to me yet about a new contract so I just play this last season and then see at the end of the season.”

Salah was noncommittal when Roy Keane asked him if he could join Man United, but he did leave the door open to a contract extension, which he says Liverpool have thus far not offered.

“So far, we don’t know with which club, but so far yeah my last game here with Liverpool. It’s not up to me but nobody talk to me about a contract with the club. We’ll see.”
