MN: Predicted Milan XI to face Parma – Fofana to be rested amid derby risk
Sergio Conceicao and his AC Milan will be up against Parma tomorrow and the goal is, of course, to clinch all three points. According to a report, the manager could give Youssouf Fofana some much-needed rest.
The French midfielder has been working overtime all season, more or less, having started every single game (all comps, even!) since the 2-2 draw against Lazio in August. Some rest is thus long overdue and it looks like he will finally get it, but there is another detail.
Currently on four yellow cards in the league, Fofana is ‘cautioned’ and will miss the next game in case he gets another card tomorrow. This is something Milan cannot afford, with Inter up after Parma, so the rest given by Conceicao can also be seen as a tactical move.
In any case, as per MilanNews, the likes of Davide Calabria, Fikayo Tomori and Christian Pulisic will be back from start for tomorrow’s game…
Predicted Milan XI (4-2-3-1): Maignan; Calabria, Gabbia, Tomori, Hernandez; Fofana/Musah, Bennacer; Pulisic, Reijnders, Leao; Morata.
There are no battles as things stand, but it should be noted that Conceicao will have Samuel Chukwueze back on the bench, which is good. Things are certainly looking a lot better on the injury front, even if Emerson Royal suffered a serious one mid-week.
