MN: Milan to wear third kit against Club Brugge – the expected attendance
AC Milan will take on Club Brugge tonight at San Siro tonight in dire need of a win in the Champions League to get their 2024-25 campaign properly underway.
Milan are one of eight teams (RB Leipzig, Girona, Sturm Graz, Red Star, Salzburg, Slovan Bratislava and Young Boys being the others) who are without a point yet, and that must change starting tonight against the Belgian champions.
Admittedly, the Rossoneri ahve faced two top-level opponents in six-time winners of the UCL Liverpool and the German champions Bayer Leverkusen, but there is nonetheless a huge importance in moving off zero and continuing from Saturday’s victory over Udinese.
As MilanNews report, there are around 55,000 fans expected at the game including over 3,000 in the away sector. Why is it not close to a sell-out? Being in the earlier kick-off slot of 18:45 CEST makes it harder for a lot of fans to get to the game, but there will still be a good turnout at San Siro.
Moreover, the same source are also reporting that the team will wear the third shirt for the match tonight rather than the classic red and black home shirt. It is something they have done randomly over the past couple of seasons, presumably as a marketing ploy.
