On Thursday, 26 teams will start playing to mark the official start of the 2024-25 season. However, due to weather conditions, the Milwaukee Brewers vs. New York Mets and Atlanta Braves vs. Philadelphia Phillies will kick off the season on Friday.

The Los Angeles Angels throw the first pitch against Baltimore at 3:05 p.m., with Mike Trout returning after recovering from a bone injury that had kept him sidelined. Following Shohei Ohtani's departure, the Angels hope to start their season on a positive note.

The Los Angeles Dodgers are gearing up for the MLB's Opening Day game while trying to avoid any distractions caused by the recent betting scandal involving their global superstar, Ohtani. Last week, Los Angeles played their first Major League Baseball game in South Korea against the San Diego Padres, which marked the beginning of a new era for the Dodgers. However, for the Dodgers' first game of the season in Los Angeles, they will face off against the St. Louis Cardinals.
