Missouri RB Damarea Crockett suspended after marijuana arrest (Update)
One of Missouri’s best players ran into some trouble over the weekend.
According to PowerMizzou.com, Tigers running back Damarea Crockett was arrested early Sunday morning for possession of marijuana. The arrest was made at 4:17 a.m. in Columbia, hours after Crockett ran for 225 yards in a loss to Tennessee.
Because of the arrest, Crockett is suspended for Friday’s game against Arkansas, head coach Barry Odom announced.
ODOM: My policy is if you have an arrest, you won't play the next game. Our guys know the discipline required in our program.

Crockett was in a parked car with a few other individuals, police said, but was the only one arrested. He was found with less than 35 grams of marijuana. Crockett is facing a misdemeanor charge.
Crockett’s 225 yards against the Vols was a program record for a freshman. He now has 1,062 yards rushing on the season, another Missouri freshman record.
Missouri is 3-8 on the season.
