Minnesota Wild Weekly Rewind: January 20-26, 2025

Welcome to the Weekly Rewind, a column published every Monday that recaps the past week of Minnesota Wild hockey, including the team’s record, players with the highest stats, and more. This week, we’ll be looking at how the Wild did from January 20 to 26, 2025.

The Wild played four games over the week. They went 2-2-0 in that span. They lost two home games and won two games on the road.

Marcus Foligno, Freddy Gaudreau and Joel Eriksson Ek led the Wild with two goals during the week. Marco Rossi and Matt Boldy led the team with four assists each during the week. Boldy and Rossi also led in points with four.

Kirill Kaprizov returned from his injury during the week for his first three games following a lower-body injury that kept him out for a month. He recorded two assists in the three games over the week.

Both Marc-Andre Fleury and Filip Gustavsson played over the week. They both went 1-1-0 in two starts each. Fleury led the way with a .893 save percentage (SV%) and a 3.03 goals-against average (GAA). Gustavsson had a .878 SV% and a 3.00 GAA.

A look ahead

The Wild will be on the road for the next four games. They will play a back-to-back on Wednesday and Thursday against the Toronto Maple Leafs followed by the Montreal Canadiens.

They then will face the Ottawa Senators on Saturday before returning back home to Minnesota before they go back on the road to face the Boston Bruins next week.

Minnesota is currently 18-5-3 on the road this season and carries the most points and wins on the road in the entire NHL. We will see if the Wild can continue their winning ways on the road this week.
