An insight into the financial windfall set to come the way of La Liga giants Barcelona for their pre-season tour of the USA has on Thursday been forthcoming.

Barca, of course, made their way stateside last weekend, ahead of ramping up preparations for the campaign ahead.

New boss Hansi Flick’s troops will play out a total of three fixtures as part of the tour, the first of which saw the Blaugrana lock horns with Manchester City in the early hours of Wednesday.

Next up comes a meeting with arch rivals Real Madrid this weekend, before things are rounded out on Wednesday, August 7th, against AC Milan.

So, as alluded to above, just how much will Barcelona add to the club’s coffers through their participation in the three friendly fixtures?

As per a report from Mundo Deportivo:

‘FC Barcelona’s tour of the United States will bring in a net minimum of 8 million euros for the club, which may increase depending on variables such as ticket sales for the matches.’

This sum takes into account all of the Catalans’ expenses, including lodgings, travel costs and taxes, leaving a tidy profit for a club whose accounts are in dire need of a boost.
