'Miller Time' Is Back in Idaho

The Idaho Steelheads are bringing back a familiar face up front, as head coach & director of hockey operations Everett Sheen announced that the club has re-signed forward Jade Miller to an ECHL contract for the 2024-25 season.

The Minto, ND native enters his fifth professional season, third with Idaho. In 2023-24, he registered 13 points (6-7-13) in 36 games. He appeared in six Kelly Cup Playoff contests and recorded one assist.

The 5-foot-10, 190-pound left-handed shooter has appeared in 104 games with Idaho dating back to the 2022-23 campaign, collecting 46 points (22-24-46) and nine points (3-6-9) in 26 Kelly Cup Playoff games.

Prior to his career in Boise, Miller played two seasons with the South Carolina Stingrays from 2020-22, skating in 99 games and totaling 34 points (13-21-34).

Across his four seasons in the ECHL, Miller has notched 80 career points (35-45-80) in 203 games.

Miller played four seasons of collegiate hockey at the University of Minnesota Duluth from 2016-20 where he won back-to-back National Championships (2018, 2019).

In four seasons with the Bulldogs, he registered 34 points (9-25-34) in 127 career games. He also helped the club to the 2017 and 2019 NCHC Championship. As a junior, he put together a six-point scoring streak from February 23 and March 15, the second-longest by any Bulldog that winter.

Before UMD, Miller had a successful junior hockey career with the Austin Bruins of the NAHL. In the 2015-16 season, he tied for the NAHL lead in regular-season goals (29), 11 of which were game-winners, best in the league.
