Milan After Valencia Talent to Possibly Address Defense

Milan have earmarked Cristhian Mosquera to replenish their rearguard should there be an exit, as Fikayo Tomori might elect to flee following his demotion. Paulo Fonseca has fielded Malick Thiaw and Matteo Gabbia consistently in recent weeks, with good results.

According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, the Englishman has accepted the coach’s decision so far. Still, if he received a good offer in January, he might take it. His price tag is €20/25M. Napoli and Juventus fielded an inquiry. The Rossoneri would rather send him abroad. Newcastle United and West Ham have shown interest.

Milan were plotting to invest in the back, in Mosquera or another starlet, in the summer, but they’d move up the plan if Tomori departed. They’d obviously need a substitute if the latter departed but, if their boss prefers not to rotate in the role and is happy with his go-to pair, which has indeed been solid, it’d risk being detrimental to sign another player who needs regular minutes considering that a recent purchase, Strahinja Pavlovic, is riding the pine too. Moreover, they should avoid helping other Serie A sides.
