Milan nearing move for Atletico Madrid’s Alvaro Morata

Spain and Atletico Madrid striker Alvaro Morata is now nearing a move to Serie A giants Milan and work is being done to complete the move.

The Rossoneri have moved away from Joshua Zirkzee, who seems on the verge of joining Manchester United. But they have identified an alternative for the player and that seems to be Morata.

Gianluca di Marzio has reported that the move for Morata is now edging closer and more progress can be made after the EURO 2024 final involving England and Spain at the weekend. Positive contact has taken place between the two parties and it seems as if his involvement in the final is only delaying the move.

Zlatan Ibrahimovic, it has been reported, has been key for the move and he had been pushing for the Spaniard’s signature. The feeling is that an agreement with Morata over terms will be reached soon enough and things seem positive.
