Milan lock down Pulisic amid Liverpool interest
Liverpool have been linked with an approach for Christian Pulisic after his splendid form with Milan, but the Rossoneri plan to lock him down to a new and improved contract.
The USMNT star arrived from Chelsea for €22m in the summer of 2023 and showed the kind of form that had made him hot property in the first place for Borussia Dortmund.
So far this season, Pulisic scored eight goals and provided six assists in 20 competitive games for Milan between Serie A, the Champions League and Coppa Italia.
These performances, both on the right wing and in a trequartista role behind the centre-forward, have alerted the Premier League clubs, above all current leaders Liverpool.
Pulisic impressing at Milan
Milan are well aware of the risk they could lose the American and are already taking steps to secure his presence at San Siro.
According to Calciomercato.com, there is an option to extend his contract to June 2028, but Rossoneri chiefs are more proactive by proposing a new contract to June 2029 with an additional pay increase from his current €4m per season net to €5m.
They are also close to new agreements for Tijjani Reijnders and Mike Maignan, who have both been linked with potential Premier League or LaLiga moves too.
