One of the most storied rivalries in European football played out in less than dramatic fashion as Milan and Juventus played out a goalless draw in the fashion capital

Juventus, who looked to keep on the heels of a rampant Inter after their 5-0 drubbing of Verona earlier, faced a Milan side that has hardly been at the races in the 2024-25 Serie A season coming into the weekend clash at San Siro.

After a tepid opening 20 minutes of action, Juve settled into some semblance of a rhythm, with Turkish international Kenan Yıldız regularly getting the better of Emerson down Milan’s right-hand side.

Neither side was able to manufacture a breakthrough before the halftime interval, however, and that unfortunate trend continued into the final 10 minutes of normal time despite both managers making multiple changes.

Juve certainly had the better balance of play on the night, including seeing more of the ball while managing to craft together a small handful of big chances.

It was just the second time that these two sides have ended scoreless in consecutive meetings since 2007, but Juve will certainly be frustrated having missed out on a chance to keep pace with the European pack.

As for Milan, they end the night in seventh but could drop a place if Bologna finds three points against Lazio.
