Milan interested in Sporting’s Francisco Trincão
Serie A side Milan register strong interest in Sporting’s Francisco Trincao.
According to a report by Alessandra Gozzini of La Gazzetta dello Sport, Milan have set their sights on Sporting forward Francisco Trincao. The Rossoneri are reeling from underwhelming performances in the first part of the season under Paulo Fonseca but they have found renewed hope with the appointment of Sergio Conceicao as the new manager.
Conceicao is set to assess the situation over the next few days and will submit his report to the management to reveal the strengths and weaknesses of the squad.
There is a possibility that either one of Noah Okafor and Samuel Chukwueze will face the axe due to meagre attacking returns. A new face is expected to be brought in after offloading someone and the name of Trincao is being echoed around the Milan headquarters.
Sergio Conceicao’s agent Jorge Mendes is expected to be contacted by Milan to help them materialise potential transfers for several positions this winter and next summer. Mendes is Trincao’s agent too and his relationship with the Rossoneri could facilitate the transfer.
Milan value the Portuguese forward at €25 million and are set to make official contact with Sporting as soon as the January transfer window begins.
