MILAN FUTURO BEAT GUBBIO THANKS TO A TRAORÈ GOAL: 1-0

Milan Futuro are back, and so are the three points. A goal from Chaka Traorè was enough against Gubbio for the Rossoneri to gain an important and deserved win: the game at the Chinetti ended 1-0 on matchday 18 of Serie C. Halfway through the first half, the decisive hit from Chaka arrived, lively and ready to capitalise on a brilliant piece of play. In the second half, Milan Futuro were relentless and came close to scoring on several occasions, which would have ensured a more peaceful ending. The Rossoneri, however, did not give much away to Gubbio and secured all three points.

A home win had eluded us since the end of September, a clean sheet for seven games. There are numerous positives to take away from the 90 minutes of the penultimate matchday of the first half of the season. The attacking department was also very promising, as a super performance from Venturi denied the Diavolo from extending their lead - just like when the goalkeeper stopped Camarda from scoring from the penalty spot. The side have 16 points in the league now, and it is getting ever tighter between the teams. However, they can't stop here, given the away fixture next week: Sunday 15 December against Vis Pesaro. Let's go, lads!

MATCH REPORT
The game started in a contained fashion, both sides attempted to work each other out and tried to build with patience, without risking any mistakes. The Rossoneri gradually increased the temperature but did not register a shot until the 23rd minute, thanks to a brilliant bit of play: Stalmach found Jiménez who provided a central ball to Sandri who then went onto assist Traorè to make it 1-0. Milan Futuro kept pushing, Bartesaghi shot in the 27th minute but his attempt was too weak after a corner from Sandri. Gubbio pushed with two low crosses in the first half from the flanks. In the 38th minute, Corsinelli's effort lacked precision, while Fossati's attempt in the 45th minute whistled past the post. The first half ended 1-0.

At the start of the second half, Milan Futuro pushed. In the 48th minute, Bartesaghi hit the bar with a wicked shot  from the middle of the area, the ball bounced off the line before the defence cleared the ball. In the 51st minute, Jiménez was brought down and fouled, resulting in a penalty, Camarda tried from the spot, but his effort was saved by Venturi. The Rossoneri kept pressing and pushing, in the 53rd minute Fossati made a save on the line after a header from Minotti, in the 60th minute Venturi made another good stop off of a Traorè curling free kick. The game remained open, Gubbio came alive in the final stages. D'Ursi and Corsinelli worried the Rossoneri defence, D'Ursi came close with a free kick in the 90th minute. Milan Futuro stayed strong, and the match finished 1-0.
