Milan considering Reyna swoop to grow USMNT connection
Milan are eager to bolster their USMNT delegation within the squad by making a January approach for Borussia Dortmund’s Giovanni Reyna.
The 22-year-old can play in a variety of attacking roles, including as trequartista, where they are struggling to find a reliable figure.
According to Calciomercato.com, Reyna is on the list of potential mid-season signings for the Rossoneri now that they are rebuilding under new coach Sergio Conceicao.
Reyna fits the bill for Milan
There are some issues too, because the player has been struggling with a recurring groin injury and contributed only two goals in 10 appearances for Borussia Dortmund so far this season.
Another bonus for Milan is that Reyna has a Portuguese passport, so would be able to register as an EU player and not take up one of the valuable non-EU slots.
His agent Jorge Mendes also represents Sergio Conceicao and he would add to the American cohort of Christian Pulisic and Yunus Musah at San Siro.
The asking price would be in the region of €15m and he spent six months of last season on loan at Nottingham Forest.
