Who was Middle Georgia’s best softball player this year? Vote now in our athlete poll

We asked and you answered. Below are the softball players nominated to be the top high school softball players in the Middle Georgia area.

The candidates were selected from nominations via school officials and our readers’ submissions. The Telegraph reviewed player statistics and accolades to settle on who would be up for selection.

From today through July 1, you can vote on who the top softball star was this year in Bibb, Peach and Houston counties, with the winner announced after the poll closes.

Middle Georgia’s top nominated softball players

Brianna Pryor, Central High School

Pryor had a .700 batting average, 1.475 slugging percentage, 31 RBIs, 33 runs, a .755 on-base percentage, and .964 fielding percentage as a junior, according to MaxPreps.

Pryor is ranked seventh nationally and third in Georgia for slugging percentage, 14th nationally and seventh in Georgia for on-base percentage, 16th nationally and seventh in Georgia for batting average, and 204th nationally and 54th in Georgia for home runs.

Zaria Blasingame, Rutland High School

Statistics her senior year include a .692 on base percentage, .561 batting average, 28 runs, 25 RBIs, and an .839 fielding percentage, according to MaxPreps.

Blasingame is ranked 54th nationally and 24th in Georgia for on-base percentage, 143rd nationally and 43rd in Georgia for batting average, and 265th nationally and 79th in Georgia for slugging percentage.

Caroline Patterson, Tattnall Square Academy

Statistics include a .509 batting average, six home runs, .565 on-base percentage, 26 RBIs and 19 runs in her senior year, according to MaxPreps.

Patterson is ranked in the 135th nationally and 46th in Georgia for slugging percentage, 196th nationally and 51st in Georgia for home runs, and 328th nationally and 90th in Georgia for batting average.

Jacy Harrelson, Houston County High School

As a senior, Harrelson had a 1.43 earned run average, nine home runs, 30 runs, 36 runs batted in, and a .536 on-base percentage, according to MaxPreps.

Harrelson is ranked 37th nationally and 12th in Georgia for ERA, 44th nationally and 11th in Georgia for home runs, 99th nationally and 31st in Georgia for batters struck out, and 112th nationally and 21st in Georgia for RBIs.
