Michigan State men score emotional upset victory over No. 17 Indiana
EAST LANSING, Mich. — With every surge, Breslin Center got louder.
With every time the Izzone erupted, Michigan State men's basketball delivered another big bucket or extended a run.
The natural symbiosis of athletes and fans felt familiar again, at least for a little over two hours, Tuesday night. The cheers, the baskets, the energy.
And each time the Spartans needed a push, their classmates were there to provide it. And vice versa. A critical win for Tom Izzo’s team — 80-65 over No. 17 Indiana — and even bigger victory for a mourning university community coming to grips with getting back to normal.

“It was definitely emotional,” Walker said of Tuesday's game. “Everybody was involved in some way because everybody’s on campus. So, it was definitely good to go out there and play well for everybody.”
