Michael Cicek Commits To Michigan Tech

Kelowna Rockets forward Michael Cicek has committed to Michigan Tech, it was announced last week.

Cicek, a product of Winnipeg, Man., has spent the entire season with the Rockets, putting up 11 goals and 15 assists for 26 points in 31 games.

Drafted by the Spokane Chiefs in the sixth round of the 2019 WHL Bantam Draft, Cicek has played in 168 career regular season games across four seasons, collecting 25 goals and 82 points. Before making the jump to the junior level, Cicek played his minor hockey with the Winnipeg Monarchs and the Winnipeg Wild.

With Cicek joining the Huskies next season, they will be getting a smart, high energy forward who can create in transition. Although the Huskies have not added many players from the CHL, they will be getting a difference maker in Cicek.
