Messi moves second in all-time men's international scoring charts 📈
The entire world was left wondering how Lionel Messi hadn’t scored at the 2024 Copa América—until now.
Before Tuesday’s semi-final against Canada, the Inter Miami man had just one assist and a missed penalty.
However, this time around at MetLife Stadium, Messi seemed more like the talent we know he is. And a slick flick in front of goalkeeper Maxime Crepeau doubled the lead for Argentina.
This means Messi moved beyond Ali Daei in the all-time men’s international scoring charts with 109 goals after 186 caps.
Most goals for country:
130 — Cristiano Ronaldo 🇵🇹
109 — Leo Messi 🇦🇷
