Messi is back! Argentina announce their squad for World Cup qualifiers

Argentina have announced their squad for the upcoming World Cup qualifiers with Venezuela and Bolivia.

There’s a long-awaited return for Lionel Messi who hasn’t appeared for his national team since winning the Copa América back in July.

The MLS star suffered an ankle ligament injury during that game and had to be withdrawn from action in the second half.

Goalkeeper Emi Martínez misses out though, after being suspended by FIFA for an ‘inappropriate gesture’ caught on television cameras.
