Meret Agent Dishes on Talks, Rubbishes Inter Chatter
Federico Pastorello, the agent of Alex Meret and a few more well-known footballers, updated on the ongoing negotiation between the goalie and Napoli to Calciomercato.
“The dialogue with them is very very positive. We perceive that they want to extend his contract, and we’re absolutely open to doing so. Now there’s the usual dynamic of these talks. We think he deserves a certain type of deal, and the Partenopei agree with that, but there’s a financial aspect that needs to be discussed.”
Pastorello dismissed the rumors linking Meret to Inter.
“I’m absolutely optimistic, and the other buzz is untrue. He’s very focused on this season, and we haven’t set our sights on anything else besides the renewal. Then clearly, if we realize it’s impossible, we’ll look around, but our priority is to re-up with Napoli.”
The agent assisted Romelu Lukaku in the past.
“He is very pleased, then some lulls are normal for strikers. His effort level is manifest whether he scores or not. He works hard for the team. He’s happy because the Azzurri are happy. The rest is hot air.”
In addition to dishing on Meret, Pastorello commented on Ange-Yoan Bonny and Arthur.
“The former is doing very well and is a fantastic guy. He’s young but growing quickly. We’ll see in the summer, as he’s concentrated on helping save Parma. Time will tell. The Juventus midfielder has a lot of suitors in Brazil, but he wishes to continue in Europe. Some landing spots are emerging. We hope to see him back on the pitch soon. It’s truly a pity that’s he’s not getting minutes.”
