Yahoo Sports Men's soccer Olympics schedule: Paris Olympics group play, knockout stage matches
The U.S. Men's soccer team is back in the Olympic Games for the first time since 2008. Unlike the women's soccer tournament, Olympic men's soccer is age-restricted; Players must be born on or after Jan. 1, 2001, with three overage players allowed per squad.
That means this is an entirely different squad than the one that was upset 2-1 by Panama in the 2024 Copa America tournament. This is the first major tournament for the team under coach Marko Mitrović who took over last September.
Men's soccer in the Paris Olympics is a 16-team tournament that's split into four groups. Teams face off in group play to qualify for the knockout stage. Here's the U.S. roster and the full schedule for the tournament:
