Yahoo Sports 'It Was A Memorable Couple Of Days In Muskoka': Maple Leafs' Morgan Rielly Hosts Golf Tournament to Help Raise Money for Special Olympics Canada
Morgan Rielly is helping raise money for the Special Olympics Canada Foundation.
The 30-year-old hosted the Forty Fore Fall Classic in Gravenhurst earlier this week, which helps support motionball for Special Olympics Canada. Along with Rielly at the event were the Maple Leafs' Ryan Reaves and Jake McCabe, who also golfed.
Rielly shared a carousel of photos to his Instagram on Saturday, which shows him pictured with assistant to the Maple Leafs' equipment staff Pete Flagger and Special Olympian Ruby Lappin.

"It was a memorable couple of days in Muskoka at the Forty Fore Fall Classic Golf Tournament in support of @motionball. Forever grateful to be part of the @specialocanada family," Rielly wrote in the post.
The Maple Leafs' defenseman is also pictured with the co-founder of motionball, Paul Etherington, who's holding one side of a cheque paid to the Special Olympics Canada Foundation worth $105,000.
"We're happy to be back here for year two," Rielly told CTVNews.ca Barrie on Wednesday. "Being up here last year and having the chance to raise some money for a cause that's important to me and important to a lot of people. It's a cool opportunity."
Over the years, Rielly has been involved in numerous good causes to support the community. In November, the Maple Leafs' defenseman teamed up with Peace Collective to launch an apparel collection with a portion of proceeds going to the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).

He's also shown continued support for the LGBTQ2+ community and has discussed the NHL's ban on Pride tape, which came into effect last season.

Rielly — an assistant captain with Toronto — is entering the third year of an eight-year, $60 million contract he signed in October 2021. He's been a Maple Leaf since getting drafted fifth overall in the 2012 NHL Draft.
Considered Toronto's top defenseman, Rielly scored seven goals and 51 assists for 58 points in 72 games last season. In 791 games with the Maple Leafs, he has 80 goals and 392 assists for 472 points.
Rielly has also averaged 22:12 of ice time throughout his 11-year NHL career.
