Meet the Devils' New Hires: Fletcher, Greene & Legace

The New Jersey Devils have announced the hiring of Chuck Fletcher, Andy Greene and Manny Legace, all of three will be a part of the team's front office.

Each of them has spent a significant amount of time in the NHL, either as a player or in executive roles, and they are all set to continue their careers with the Devils.

Without any further ado, let's introduce the three new members of the front office.

First, we have the son of a well-known executive from the Toronto Maple Leafs front office, Chuck Fletcher. He is stepping into his new role as a senior advisor to General Manager Tom Fitzgerald.

Fletcher, 57, has previously worked with the Florida Panthers, Minnesota Wild, and the Philadelphia Flyers at the NHL level. He has also contributed to the NHL and AHL as an advisor, assistant GM, and even the President of Hockey Operations.

It's worth noting that Fletcher is returning to his position as Senior Advisor with the Devils, a role he held during the 2018-19 season.

Next, we have Andy Greene, a familiar face to Devils fans during his time as a defenseman for the team. He is also making a comeback to the Devils as an advisor to Fitzgerald.

Greene spent 14 seasons with the team, playing in 923 matches and contributing 49 goals and 197 assists for a total of 246 points.

Lastly, Legace is being brought in as the amateur goaltending scout and development coach.

He held the role of Blue Jackets goaltending coach from 2018 to 2022, during which he was responsible for "work with all the goaltenders in the Devils system and serve in a scouting capacity for draft-eligible prospects."

Additionally, the Devils have hired Geoff Sanderson, the father of Ottawa Senators player Jake Sanderson, as a Pro Scout, and Ryan Fitzgerald, the son of GM Tom Fitzgerald, as a Pro Scout.
